We are a husband and wife owned general contracting company based in Bryan College Station. We built this company to do the work right and to be the kind of contractors we would hire ourselves. That standard shapes how we approach every project and how we take care of the people we work with.

PRESIDENT
Jose is co owner and President of JLP Construction. He leads estimating, trade coordination, and field operations across the company’s projects.
His experience in construction brings a practical understanding of scope, cost expectations, and field execution. He stays involved throughout each project, reviewing progress and working alongside trades to keep the work aligned with the agreed scope and standard.
His focus is on maintaining consistency in execution and a steady presence in the field.
VICE PRESIDENT
Esther is co owner of JLP Construction and serves as Vice President and Business Development Partner. She leads client relationships, contracts, and project coordination from the initial conversation through project closeout.
In her role, she works closely with clients to understand their goals, evaluate project fit, and guide the transition from planning into construction. She helps maintain clarity in communication and alignment between the client and the field.
Her background as a CPA brings an added level of financial awareness to budgeting, planning, and overall project communication.
We take on full-scope projects as general contractor and defined trade scopes as a subcontractor. The quality and supervision standards are the same either way.
Tenant improvements, retail build outs, office renovations, multifamily upgrades, common area refreshes, and ground up commercial projects. Work is planned and sequenced to align with operations, helping reduce disruption while keeping timelines realistic and coordinated.
Kitchen and bath renovations, additions, new construction, multifamily property updates, and make ready work for rental properties. Trade sequencing is coordinated to support efficient turnover, whether for a single home or across multiple units.
Metal stud framing, drywall installation, Level 5 finishing, interior and exterior painting, and acoustical systems. Whether part of a larger project or a standalone scope, the same level of oversight and attention to detail is maintained.
Final debris removal, surface cleaning, and preparation for occupancy. This scope is typically incorporated into project closeout.

Permits are addressed, inspections are scheduled, and subcontractors are aligned in advance. Planning is handled upfront to reduce disruptions once work is underway.
Field supervisors and trade leads work from a defined scope and inspection schedule. Progress is monitored throughout construction so items can be addressed as the project moves forward.
A final walkthrough is completed and the space is prepared for handoff. Remaining items, if any, are identified and addressed as part of closeout.
